"And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth is fruit in his season;his leaf also shall not whither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper". Psalm 1:3
From the Pastor's Pen
Dear Church Family,
I am excited as we prepare to celebrate the 140th Church Anniversary here at First Bethel Baptist Church! God just continues to bless us over and over again. As a Church Family, we continue to grow in spirit and in truth.
We are a testament of God's grace as we gear up in preparation of our 140th Church Anniversary. I believe that God is about to unveil a new realm of glory in our lives. And as we look towards the future, we will strengthen the existing ministries and establish new ones. We can do it because God is with us. Our prayer will be "Not our will but THY will be done". Our Church has been blessed of God, not because we have earned it or because God likes us better than someone else but we have been blessed for the purpose of greater service to our God and community. All of God's people are members of one body.....the body of Christ. We are all related to one another, dependent on one another, and involved with one another.
As we continue to move forth, let us move with the blessed assurance of God's presence with us and with the knowledge that we can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens us.
Our theme.........."Celebrating Our Past.....Anticipating our Future" simply means that we firmly believe that eyes have not seen nor ear heard all that God has in store for First Bethel Baptist Church!.
Gideon started with 32,000 then went down to 10,000 after the scared folk left. He then went down to 300 after the kneeling folk were dismissed. God can use whatever number people with a plan to gain the victory. God specializes in making miracles with missing pieces.
Now...........let the Church say, "Amen"!
